Web Developer
Slipgate Ironworks is seeking a full-time web developer who has 4+ years experience doing front-end web development work in a professional environment. The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented self-starter, who can take direction, and then proceed independently. We're looking for someone who is a good problem solver, easy to work with, and has a positive "can-do" attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Development of front-end code and presentation-layer programming for leading edge web applications connected to real time game environment.
- Turning web designs into clean, standards compliant XHTML/CSS
- Rapidly build websites employing high-quality XHTML code
- Develop client-side JavaScript
- Transform Photoshop mockups into XHTML
- Perform image production for web parts such as buttons, images and headers
Qualifications:
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- A genuine passion for gaming.
- 4+ years of professional web development experience
- Excellent knowledge of Web front end development, including HTML, XHTML, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, Photoshop, browser capability and accessibility requirements.
- Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL. Action scripting is a plus
- Experience building HTML & XHTML for dynamic, data-driven sites using ASP, ASP.NET, PHP or JSP
- Application development experience integrating very large dynamic SQL DB source feeds
- Experience integrating community function packages (forums, blogging etc) ideal
- Development experience in PHP, Python within the context of web application engineering is a huge plus

Web Application Developer
Slipgate Ironworks is seeking a seasoned web application developer who has a strong background doing significant web application development in a high-volume professional environment. The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented self-starter, who can take direction, and then proceed independently. We're looking for someone who is a good problem solver, easy to work with, and has a positive "can-do" attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Technical lead for software design and development of leading edge web application connected to real time game environment
- Develop database schemas, analyze and design application-level security
- System development and deployment for current and upcoming projects
- Develop comprehensive unit test harnesses for all code developed
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for videogames
- 6+ years of web applications engineering experience
- Experience with a range of web programming languages such as Java/JSP and PHP
- 3+ years PHP/MySQL experience with PHP v4.x/5.x and MySQL v4.x/5.x
- General web development skills: HTML/XHTML/JavaScript/CSS/etc. (Graphic design skills are not required)
- Strong LAMP experience
- Experience with AJAX, DHTML and JavaScript
- Experience developing SOA and writing/consuming web services
